By 6 weeks old they were outside for good...

Then I spotted HER on the island.....

She was sitting on 11 eggs
BUT
within 2 days Ping and Splash were hanging out near her nest.

Once her eggs hatched - she moved them to a better feeding pond
(this is typical) and Ping and Splash stayed with us!

We'll miss that quacking....Labs and Ducks don't really mix
Pebbles didn't know when to stop.  Ping died after a game of chase and   after that Splash was released into the Northfield Brook Lake were he joined a BIG flock.
