Once she got a little bigger, she loved galloping on horseback with her father.	Beautiful

Jo loved being at the hub of a big, busy family. She and Walter had 4 children, 3 in-laws and 4 grandchildren. (To the right we are clockwise from the left- Arthur, John, Dawn, Wes, Walter, Jo, Kevin, Alice and Katherine)

While on Captiva Island, she spent many hours being creative with all the shells she'd found.	She also enjoyed painting and made this piece of her cat, Sassy in 1997.
	Fortunately, her artistic skills improved with age! We don't know how old she was when she drew the cat below but it is a treasure.

Jo will be missed by us all. This web page will grow as friends and family contribute to it Thank you if you contributed. Also thank you for the cards, calls and donations, including the MHC class of 1952 for their gift to the MHC scholarship fund in Jo's memory.

At the class meeting, a rose was placed in the vase for each member of the class who had died since the last reunion.
Then on Memorial Day ~ May 27, 2002
We all gathered	and headed down to
Mead Park Pond	A beautiful day and setting
Yellow irises and those small blue flowers at our feet?	Forget-me-nots!
	So many kind words from friends and family (esp. grandchildren!) We were listening to "Blackbird" covered by CSN and a black bird flew out of the flowers at our feet right in the middle of the song! The shells and flower pots on the sand all had a little of Jo in them, We tossed them in the pond or friends took them to their respective oceans and gardens. She really is everywhere now.
